Terry Laakso

Terry Laakso is an artist, composer, researcher, and creator of neurophysiological methods whose more than 40‑year artistic career — including extensive work in Mexico and Spain — has laid the foundation for a completely new neurophysiological system.

Throughout his career, Laakso has developed multiple original art techniques and visual styles that integrate color, light, sound, rhythm, and spatial structure with the responses of the human nervous system.

He is a pioneer of neurophysiological color, sound, light, and spatial methods, and the inventor of the world’s first neurophysiological sensory‑environment system.

TERRY–NORA® is the first method to integrate colors, sounds, light, and visual space with the physiology of the nervous system.

It is based on autonomic nervous system responses — on how the sensory environment influences a person even before conscious thought.
